		Southward of Sevastopol, in 15-kilometre distance, there is Balaklava, laying in a picturesque location, “a unique corner of the Russian Empire” after the words of A.I.Kuprin. Myths and legends, testimonies of historians and travelers, scientists and poets bewilder everybody who have ever touched its ancient history.		Balaklava and its vicinities have an original landscape which is composed of natural monuments – Cape Aya and Fiolent, ancient ruins of magnificent Genoese fortress of Chembalo, traces of temples, covered with poetic legends. These legends are connected with the wanders of cunning Odysseus and with the location of legendary Diana temple where the priestess of Taurus temple Iphigeniya performed her bloody rite.
